- Up to two years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong command of the Python programming language.
- Competency in Linux, with a solid comprehension of system, network, and environment administration.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the capacity to work autonomously.
- The ability to organize and handle multiple assignments in a dynamic environment with stringent deadlines.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- The following skills are advantageous but not required:
- The ability to program in C++ is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL/Mongo and version control systems like git is considered a plus.
- Background with development/testing methodologies, for example, BDD/TDD.
- The capacity to construct and carry out test plans based on informal specifications from developers and risk managers.
- Knowledge of CI/CD & DevOps tools and technologies.
- Prior experience within the financial services sector is beneficial.
- Collaborating closely with software developers, QA professionals, support staff, and stakeholders across the US, Europe, and Asia.
- Creating test artifacts from project requirements, conducting end-to-end testing, and managing defect tracking and reporting ahead of releases for multiple internal software systems.
- Approving releases for deployment, which includes validating test plans and communicating with system users.
- Authoring and updating technical specification documents.
- Conducting certification and conformance tests with brokers and exchanges.
- Sustaining test environments, pinpointing areas for improvement, and developing automation with a Python-based BDD framework (behave).
- Communicating with global teams to maintain effective dialogue throughout the entire release process.
