- Must possess or be on track to obtain a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline by Summer 2026, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated programming experience through academic coursework or personal projects is required. While our primary tech stack includes Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go, we value strong foundational knowledge and the ability to learn new languages.
- Prior experience working in a team-based coding environment, such as through internships or collaborative academic/professional projects.
- Proven capacity to quickly grasp new and complex systems via self-directed research, mentorship, and collaboration with domain specialists.
- A combination of broad technical knowledge and at least one area of deep specialization, for instance, possessing advanced front-end skills alongside a high-level understanding of service-side request handling.
- Proficiency with code review methodologies and a solid grasp of safe deployment practices for production environments.
- Adeptness at working within and contributing to extensive, complex codebases.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary projects, working in close partnership with engineers from various teams.
- Provide constructive and insightful feedback during code reviews and on technical design documents.
- Maintain the operational health and scalability of your team's systems to accommodate growing user demands.
- Develop the competencies required for end-to-end project ownership, including acquiring skills in project management and technical leadership.
