We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend services team and help us build new streaming products and features for our fans around the world. As a Backend Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining the services that power our streaming applications.
- 6+ years of experience with server side development and distributed systems in a production environment
- Experience with Go, Java, C#, or similar languages
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience with server side development and distributed systems in a production environment
- Experience with Go, Java, C#, or similar languages
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services for Crunchyroll's streaming platform
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their growth
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Contribute to the team's on-call rotation
