As an SDET 1 at OLX India, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our software's quality by developing and sustaining automated test infrastructures. You will collaborate with engineering and product departments to ensure the delivery of premium software through the application of effective testing strategies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable discipline.
- Between six months and one and a half years of professional experience in test automation and software quality assurance.
- A foundational to intermediate grasp of testing principles, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Competency in Java specifically for test automation purposes.
- Direct experience with Selenium for automating web interfaces, including knowledge of the Page Object Model (POM) and TestNG.
- Demonstrated experience in API automation utilizing Rest Assured.
- Entry-level to mid-level experience in mobile application automation with Appium for both iOS and Android.
- Acquaintance with CI/CD technologies like Jenkins and source control platforms such as Git.
- Proficiency with defect management systems like JIRA.
- A basic comprehension of scripting languages, for example, Shell.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- The capacity to operate effectively in a high-speed, collaborative setting and adjust to evolving project needs.
- Author and carry out test plans, design test cases, and write test scripts for our web, API, and mobile products.
- Automate the testing of web user interfaces with Selenium, employing the Page Object Model (POM) and TestNG for structuring the framework.
- Establish and support API automation for RESTful web services using the Rest Assured library.
- Develop and conduct automated mobile tests for Android and iOS devices using Appium.
- Partner with software development and QA staff to discover and log defects using issue tracking software like JIRA.
- Guarantee comprehensive test coverage and automation by leveraging a firm understanding of the SDLC and STLC.
- Incorporate and uphold test automation within CI/CD workflows (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab) to ensure testing is a core part of continuous integration.

- Utilize a fundamental understanding of scripting languages such as Shell.
