Within NetApp's India R&D division, the SRE Engineer will assume responsibility for the design, dependable operation, automation, and ongoing management of AI-powered services across both cloud and local infrastructure. You will be an integral member of the accomplished NetApp Active IQ technical collective, contributing to advanced reliability engineering methodologies while facilitating advancements in Generative AI (GenAI). This role emphasizes applying SRE tenets to GenAI services, guaranteeing their scalability, resilience, continuous accessibility, and adherence to stringent service level agreements. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by constructing automated processes, comprehensive monitoring, and self-restoring functionalities for AI-centric tasks. This position necessitates an inventive, collaborative, technologically astute, and results-driven individual who can effectively collaborate across various teams.
- Conceptualize, build, and sustain SRE automation utilities for observing, deploying, and expanding AI/GenAI operations.
- Implement comprehensive observability frameworks (encompassing metrics, tracing, and logging) specifically adapted for GenAI services operating in both cloud and on-premise settings.
- Engage with engineering and data science departments to transition GenAI models into large-scale production environments.
- Construct resilient infrastructure for AI workflows leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and native cloud technologies.
- Direct capacity projections, manage incidents, and conduct postmortem evaluations with an emphasis on ongoing reliability enhancements.
- Deploy Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with automated testing and validation processes.
- Formulate self-healing mechanisms for essential services to mitigate operational interruptions.
- Guarantee robust security, regulatory adherence, and operational robustness within AI-driven applications and microservices.
- Liaise with Active IQ engineering groups globally to draw upon specialized knowledge and contribute to the technological community.
