In the role of Applied AI Engineer at Mercor, you will operate at the crossroads of machine learning investigation, product development, and client achievement. Your responsibilities will include refining human-generated datasets and converting them into signals ready for model training. You will also be tasked with translating practical insights into product and infrastructure enhancements that substantially elevate the platform. Additionally, you will manage close feedback cycles between the Operations and Engineering teams, creating tools and prototypes to ensure customers derive optimal value from Mercor.
- Prior experience in a founding capacity or within a startup environment
- Proficiency in React, Next.js, and Python programming languages
- Background in creating schemas for SQL and NoSQL databases, and using ETL orchestration tools like Airflow
- A history of deploying LLMs or other machine learning models into production, complete with evaluation pipelines
- Knowledge of systems integration involving recruitment platforms, payment gateways, CRMs, and data storage solutions
- A demonstrated interest in evaluations, benchmarking, and tools for data annotation
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong enthusiasm for acquiring new knowledge
