- Possess significant experience in automating tests at both the User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API) levels.
- Required proficiency in developing automation scripts for both backend systems and user interfaces using tools like Protractor, Selenium, or Rest Assured.
- Proven ability and experience in writing Java, JavaScript, or shell scripts for the purpose of white-box testing of application code.
- Experience with testing web applications and services, including SOAP/REST, with a focus on throughput and performance load testing using tools like JMeter.
- Familiarity with agile project management and issue-tracking platforms such as Jira, Confluence, or Rally.
- Prior experience operating within Windows-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with virtual machines (VMs) as a component of a testing and integration infrastructure.
- Proficiency with software build processes, testing frameworks, and continuous integration (CI) utilities.
- Deconstruct complex issues and accurately project the time needed for quality assurance tasks.
- Exhibit growing proficiency in the application's specific domain and its functional components.
- Skillfully utilize diverse testing types and methodologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Assume full responsibility for smaller assignments, completing them autonomously while judiciously seeking assistance when required.
- Employ principles of the SDLC and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and various Testing Techniques.
- Operate independently to create and execute tests and use cases that adhere to established standards and achieve the intended functionality with the project's chosen technology stack.
- Author robust tests following industry best practices to confirm critical functional requirements and ensure test validity after code refactoring.
- Initiate collaboration with the development team on bug resolution and the formulation of build strategies.
- Partner with quality assurance leadership to develop comprehensive test plans.
- Deploy and configure testing utilities, occasionally providing guidance to junior team members.
- Execute integration testing at the system level to ensure component interoperability.
- Possess strong skills in fundamental data structures and algorithms.
- Establish quality benchmarks, define best practices and coding standards, and offer in-depth coding expertise.
