Founding Engineer
Narrative
Narrative is building an AI-powered co-pilot that helps marketing and GTM teams scale their content operations without sacrificing quality. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly technical Founding Engineer to join our early team. As a Founding Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our product, technology, and culture. You will work closely with the CEO to define and execute our product roadmap, build core features, and help scale our engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-growing startup and make a significant impact.
- Strong programming skills (Python/TypeScript preferred)
- Experience with full-stack development, including front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and back-end services (Node.js, Django, Flask, Go)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and related technologies (Langchain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Design, develop, and deploy core features of our AI-powered content co-pilot
- Build and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure
- Work closely with the CEO and product team to define product roadmap and strategy
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance
- Help build and mentor a world-class engineering team
- Contribute to the overall technical vision and strategy of the company
