As a Frontend Engineering Intern at Atlan, you’ll learn from seasoned experts while building AI-native systems where AI is a core part of the product experience. You will create intelligent, user-friendly interfaces like Conversational Search, prototype and launch innovative 0→1 product experiments, refine performance and stability for a seamless UI, or contribute to our app framework that enables developers to build powerful, scalable apps on Atlan’s platform.
- Students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in India who can commit to full-time internship.
- Major or concentration in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- You must commit for the one-week in-person onboarding and 6 months of fully remote full-time internship.
- Demonstrate dedication to the internship.
- Show passion and drive to succeed in the tech industry (assessed via application questions and program interviews)
- AI-native: builders who already use AI tools in their day-to-day development, whether it’s for coding, debugging, testing, or learning new technologies.
- Technical proficiency: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like Vue.js or React, with exposure to AI integrations in UI, UX experimentation, and data visualization libraries; understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs and their integration; and an eye for design systems and accessibility in complex enterprise tools.
- Passion for problem-solving: Enthusiastic individuals ready to solve real-world pain points for data teams immediately.

- As a Frontend Engineering Intern, you’ll get the opportunity to work on one (or more) of these focus areas:

- 0→1 Product Experiments – Prototype and launch experiences that redefine how humans collaborate with AI in the context of data and metadata.
- Performance, Stability & Polish – Ship meaningful bug fixes, improve feature reliability, and obsessively refine the UI to ensure a seamless, high-performance experience for Atlan’s users.
- App Framework – Contribute to Atlan’s latest app framework, enabling developers to build powerful, scalable apps directly on top of Atlan’s platform, accelerating how customers extend and customize Atlan.
- Atlantis – Evolve and enhance Atlantis, Atlan’s in-house design system, to ensure visual consistency, usability, and speed across our entire product ecosystem.
- API Integrations – Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs, ensuring smooth, high-performance data flows and seamless interaction between frontend experiences and backend services.
